About the House of Piper-Heidsieck

Founded in 1785 in Reims, France, Piper-Heidsieck is one of the oldest and most renowned Champagne Houses. Its founder, Florens-Louis Heidsieck, had a vision of creating Champagne worthy of royalty and even presented his wines to Marie Antoinette. The House later took its present name following the union of the Heidsieck and Piper families.

Piper-Heidsieck Champagnes are crafted from grapes grown across the Champagne region, where the distinctive limestone and chalk soils play a vital role in shaping the wines’ character. Chalk has a remarkable ability to retain water and gradually release it to the vine roots, helping maintain the delicate balance between grape ripeness and natural acidity.

Pinot Noir plays a particularly important role in the House’s winemaking philosophy and is a defining element of its signature style. The Champagnes express the diversity of the region, ranging from fresh and delicate styles to richer, more structured cuvées.

Throughout this special evening, you will have the opportunity to discover several distinctive expressions of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne and experience how their individual characteristics come to life when paired with each course of our tasting menu.
