Another winemaker dinner is here! On April 22, 2026 from 7:00 PM, we will welcome the prestigious Tuscan winery Casanova di Neri, offering you a unique opportunity to personally meet a representative of the estate.
As always, our head chef Svatopluk Hemmer has created a special five-course tasting menu for the occasion. The menu can be found below on this page.
Casanova di Neri is one of the most important wineries in the Montalcino region of Tuscany and is widely regarded as a leader of the modern Brunello di Montalcino style. The estate was founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri with the vision of producing a great Italian red wine that would fully express the potential of the Sangiovese grape.
Today, the family business is run by the second and third generations – Giacomo Neri and his sons – who continue to emphasize a balance of tradition, innovation, and meticulous work both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
The vineyards of Casanova di Neri are spread across different sites within the Montalcino appellation, at altitudes of approximately 300–450 meters above sea level. Each site has its own unique character thanks to differences in soil composition, exposure, and microclimate. This diversity of terroir allows for wines of remarkable personality and complexity.
The winery is particularly renowned for its single-vineyard Brunellos, such as Cerretalto and Tenuta Nuova, which are among the most highly regarded wines of the region.
The style of Casanova di Neri wines is defined by elegance, structure, and a pure expression of Sangiovese. Thanks to a strong focus on optimal grape ripeness and gentle winemaking, the wines display refined tannins, expressive aromatics, and excellent aging potential.
Today, Casanova di Neri stands as a symbol of modern Brunello—wines that combine power and depth with elegance and respect for terroir.
