Chateau Angelus at Grand Cru
On September 9, 2025 from 6:00 PM, we will be hosting a highly prestigious event – a wine pairing dinner featuring the exceptional wines of Château Angélus, with a personal appearance by a representative of the winery.
Château Angélus is one of the most renowned estates from the Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux.
The evening will begin in our wine bar, where the winery will be introduced during a welcome reception. After a short presentation and welcome drink, we will move to the main dining room for the dinner itself.
The menu for the evening will be prepared by two acclaimed chefs – Svatopluk Hemmer and Pavel Sapík – who will collaborate on a seven-course tasting menu. The main courses have already been selected, and full dish details will be revealed closer to the event.
We are honored to host this special evening at our restaurant in collaboration with Good Wine Lover and Vít Bartošek, who will also be present during the event. A French-to-Czech interpreter will be available throughout the evening.

About Chateau Angelus:
Great terroir is more complex than it may seem. It’s not just about the soil — its texture, its natural ability to drain while retaining moisture, whether it’s limestone or clay, or the balance of elements that make it warm or cool, fertile or poor, balanced or not. It’s also about location — at the foot of a valley, on a slope, or at the base of a hill — where truly exceptional conditions can come together.
The Angélus vineyard grows in a natural amphitheater on a south-facing slope in the Saint-Émilion area and at its foot, where summer heat accumulates and vegetation begins earlier in the season. The slope ensures natural drainage, and the well-balanced mix of 8% to 20% limestone and clay provides a consistent supply of water and minerals. The vines are perfectly adapted to this terroir, with grape varieties planted according to the soil: Merlot on the slope with higher clay content, and Cabernet Franc at the base, where the soil is a sandy clay-limestone mix.
All of these unique characteristics contribute to the distinctive style of Angélus wines:
RICH, DENSE, AND CREAMY thanks to the early growth driven by the terroir, yet also ELEGANT, NOBLE, AND PURE, WITH PLENTY OF FRESHNESS —
a result of the high proportion of Cabernet Franc (47% of the vineyard) and the perfectly balanced limestone-clay composition of the soil.

few months ago, our managing director Libor Pavlíček visited the winery once again.
“I consider this event the highlight of the year — it will be hard to surpass.”
